It has been reported, Nanosolar inception in 2002, the company has a considerable amount of funds raised from about 500 million U.S. dollars, however, it is difficult to know the outside world is not publicly traded on the actual operation of Nanosolar. Nanosolar recently broke his silence, indicating that 4.1 billion of orders, its customers include solar power plant builder NextLight, AES Solar and Germany Beck Energy.

Nanosolar CEO Martin Roscheisen near Berlin, Germany Luckenwald panel on behalf of the company's assembly plant opening ceremony said that the plant every 10 seconds can produce a panel, annual production is equivalent to 640MW. Nanosolar is the use of CIGS solar technology, lower production costs, higher conversion efficiency. In addition to receiving orders from outside the Berlin plant became operational, Nanosolar said in a laboratory by solar cells made from CIGS conversion efficiency of up to 16.4% by the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) verified, the conversion efficiency of solar panels over 11%.
