LDK Solar to develop solar energy projects in China

LDK Solar Co., Ltd. Tuesday said it is in cooperation with China Yancheng in the next five years of building 500 megawatts of photovoltaic solar power projects, sending its shares up 6.2%. The news come out a month ago, China launched a long-awaited plans for large-scale solar power projects to offer subsidies. As the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases, China is currently looking for alternatives to fossil fuels.

Since China announced the plan has been, China solar energy companies, including Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. and ReneSola Ltd. Announced plans to build large solar power plants in China. "We believe that the growing number of photovoltaic application projects will come from China, we will continue our efforts to smoothly promote the rapid development of LDK PV market," LDK Chief Executive, said Peng Xiaofeng.
